Carefully conducted scientific research studies, which have undergone rigorous evaluation have repeatedly proven that the TM and TM-Sidhi programs, when practiced daily in a group, creates a peaceful, measurable influence on other people and significantly reduces war and terrorism.

There are 3 million Transcendental Meditators in the world and roughly 100,000 advanced meditators, those practicing the TM-Sidhi programs. Over 20,000 of these practitioners reside in the United States.

If a minimum of 8000 of these specially trained meditators were brought together to practice these peace technologies, we would have peace on earth once and for all.

8000 NOW is working toward creating a paid work force of practitioners of the TM and TM-Sidhi programs. Funds are being established to relocate and pay a market-level salary to full time paid peacemakers. The U.S. government is not willing to fund this project at this time, so we, the peace lovers of the world are taking on the job!

Administration of Funds

8000 NOW is a nonprofit Iowa corporation. All funds donated in support of these efforts will be used to relocate and employ practitioners of the TM and TM-Sidhi programs as professional peacekeepers for the world as well as administer the effort. Salaries commesurate with the standard of living in Iowa will be paid to full time employees practicing these peace technologies

The majority of the funds to establish an 8000 group will be invested in low-risk investment vehicles and held in escrow until there are sufficient monies to hire practitioners full time. A very small percentage of each donation will be used for administration and promotion efforts to create this group.
